Safety Testing System / Desktop Type Safety Tester

 

1. Introduction

  • High voltage/Hipot/ dielectric strength:

As a requested test by the international safety certification organization, Hipot must be performed to ensure the products electrical safety. The testing method is to apply the voltage higher than the normal working voltage to the product for a while, and check whether there is bad insulation condition.

  • Insulation resistance test

Apply DC voltage (up to 1000 volt) to the concerned two terminals and check the insulation. Normally the unit of the tested resistance is Ohm.

  • Ground impedance test

Ground impedance test is to test the grounding terminal of the tested products. Apply a certain current to the product case or metal part and check the impedance of two terminals. Normally the impedance should be less than 0.1 ohm if the applied current is 25A. According to the requirement of CSA, the loose screw on ground terminal, ground lead small diameter and ground lead disconnection will be tested under 40A.

  • Leakage current test

Leakage current test is the current that go through the touchable metal part and human body to the ground. It is the current of the touchable part on the product.

  • Power test

The purpose of power test is to test whether the input circuit can withstand the current required when the product is in normal operation. It is stipulated in the product standard that the input current of the maximum power consumption shall not be greater than 110% of the product's nominal value. This nominal value also tells the user the minimum current required for the product's safety work, and reminds the user to prepare such an electrical environment before using the device.

 

2. Features

The safety testing system supports to test both the safety and power, providing 2-channel test power input and solve the problem of power switch caused by the voltage inconsistency of leakage current test and power test. Optional equipped with the USB port for testing data save and export.
